02 Why Study the Signs of the Times

In this 13-part series, Mike taught 11 sessions, and Isaac Bennett taught 2 sessions. The series covered what Jesus, the apostles, and Old Testament prophets taught about the prophetic events and trends foretold in the scriptures. These are recognized as prophetic signposts that will occur in the church, government, economics, technology, society, and on the earth itself, including weather patterns. Believers are called to watch and pray in light of these prophetic signposts, and therefore, we must know what the Bible says about them. According to Matthew 24:33, there is only one generation in which all the positive and negative signs and trends will occur. The most significant prophetic trends are occurring now together for the first time on a global level. Jesus rebuked the Pharisees for not discerning 'the signs of the times' related to His first coming (Matthew 16:1-4). He told them that their unresponsiveness to God was related to their not knowing 'the time of their visitation' (Luke 19:42-44).
