07 The Four Chariots and Our Messiah (Zech. 6:1-15)
In this 12-part series, Mike conducts a verse-by-verse study of Zechariah. Zechariah contains some of the most specific information for the Church concerning events that will occur in the battle of Jerusalem and the nations before Jesus returns. The battle for control of Jerusalem will be intense, encompassing spiritual, political, and military aspects; it will serve as the decisive battle to end the Armageddon campaign when Jesus returns (Zech. 12:3; 14:2). This battle will function like a vortex, drawing all people into it, regardless of their desires. God calls all people to love Jerusalem because He does; Jesus referred to it as His city—'the city of the great King' (Mt. 5:35). Studying Jerusalem's future destiny is crucial because it holds such importance to Jesus (Zech. 8:2–3). The Lord promised to prosper all who love Jerusalem (Ps. 122:6).
